Hollingsworth & Vose introduces its new AquaSperse™ water dispersible paper products. AquaSperse™, another H&V innvovation developed under the HVision Technology Platform, is easily dissolvable, 100% bio-degradable and non-toxic.
Customers can use this environmentally-friendly substance just like ordinary paper, except this water soluble material disappears when placed in water or rinsed, breaking down into small particles that are easily washed harmlessly down the drain.
The experienced specialists at H&V developed AquaSperse™ dissolvable paper to have the strength, look, and feel of regular paper products. Paper converters can surface coat, calendar, release coat, slit, laminate, emboss, perforate, crepe… convert just like ordinary paper. Naturally some care must be taken in selecting compatible coatings. Consumers will be able to write or print on this paper, photocopy it, fold or tear it. This unique dissolvable paper withstands oils, alcohol, and emulsions, but when exposed to a water bath or rinse, it disappears into tiny particles. Surprisingly, despite its dispersibility, AquaSperse™ is temperature resistant, moderately resistant to steam, can be autoclavable, and is suitable for long-term storage!
